July 27th 2015 - Frank Larr Jr. 1935-2015
Frank passed peacefully in the early morning hours Sunday. It is impossible to describe the importance that Wolf Run meant to Frank and just how vital a member he was to the fabric of this place. Frank is truly a pillar in the foundation of what Wolf Run has been over the past 26-years. No one has spent more time here. Frank knew everyone and I mean, really knew them…what a uniquely gifted mind he had. His passion was golf and he gave of himself freely. Unfortunately, his health became an issue a couple years back and he wasn’t as present last year and never made it out this year…I can’t help but think that he is here now; back where he belongs. If you hear someone whispering about “spine angle” out on the driving range, it’s probably Frank…
Frank’s wishes were to be cremated and his ashes spread here. He was in hospice care in Memphis when he passed…Once his remains are brought “home,” there will be a brief ceremony on the driving range. Plenty of notice will be given for those who want to attend. This is a sad day for us all…we have lost our most loyal member.
With Great Respect,
